Being the sugar junkie that I am, it’s no surprise that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Not to mention my penchant for dressing up and putting on make up. Aside from my frivolous reasons, Halloween is the perfect holiday to take a break from reality. You get to enter into a world of make believe and mystery. It’s a day where you can be the complete opposite of yourself, which can be truly liberating. As part of the special needs community, I can understand how it’s necessary sometimes, for people with special needs and service providers alike, to blow off some steam and play pretend for a day.
